Learn how to get the most out of your food!

Hi All,

this blog is for anyone who wants to take control of their health and experience more energy and feel great.

I have predominantly eaten raw since 1997 after being introduced to this lifestyle by my yoga teachers who were avid Hygienists. A couple of years later I went on the study Natural Hygiene with Fit for Life Sciences Institute and can happily substantiate this lifestyle to be energizing, health enhancing and healing. For me it made sense and intuitively felt right. The main premise of this lifestyle is that the body is a self-healing and maintaining entity given the right conditions. These conditions include:

  • Fresh air
  • Pure water
  • Sunshine
  • Connection with others
  • Natural whole foods
  • Creativity
  • Movement
  • Purpose
  • Love
  • Sleep
  • Rest and Relaxation

Eating foods that are natural means consuming them as close as possible to how they are found in nature. This means raw, unhulled, unpasteurized or simply not processed. By eating raw living foods such as germinated seeds, nuts, grains and legumes we nutritionally get the most out of our food along with more fibre, easier to digest and increased satiability and taste. In addition, raw living foods act like a broom in the digestive tract sweeping out all the rubbish. It also maintains a predominantly alkaline internal environment which protects against dis-ease. All of these factors equates to having more energy to pursue rewarding activities and living a happy, healthy life.

My plan is to introduce the benefits and ease of including more raw living foods into your diet by holding Live Food Workshops. These workshops will demonstrate how to sprout seeds, nuts, grains and legumes and turn them into breads, crackers, drinks and tasty raw based dishes that are quick and easy to make.

At the moment I cannot go past this green smoothie made with brazil nuts, kale and nectarines. I have been enjoying it for months!

  • 1/4 cup brazil nuts
  • 2 nectarines
  • 1 – 2 cups kale
  • ~ 2/3 cup water

Enjoy,

Tracy
